September 8th 2011

Digicel staff in Port Moresby have this week benefited from free health checks provided by the Digicel Foundation funded Kaugere Mobile Health Clinic in partnership with Living Light Foursquare Church. The health checks are part of Digicel’s DigiSkills Life Diploma which provides staff with essential health and lifestyle information to promote healthy living.

More than 280 staff recieved the health checks on Wednesday and Thursday this week which  included vital checks, blood tests, VCCT, spiritual healing and dental.

John Mangos, Digicel (PNG) CEO, said “We place great value on making sure our staff are supported and looked after. The DigiSkills Life Diploma is intended to encourage staff to use the information they have learnt to make sure they stay healthy”

Susan Kalo from Living Light Foursquare Church medical team said; “The Kaugere Mobile Health Clinic was launched by the Foundation in 2009 and we have treated more than 13,000 people in rural and settlement areas around Port Moresby to date. We have really enjoyed bringing the Mobile Clinic to Digicel offices as these health checks bring Digicel staff into contact with Digicel Foundation funded projects that perform great work out in the community”
